Drama - The Wedding

So, I have attended English intensive class lately, and my teacher bumped a question for a student of what is she going to study after the course, and she said wedding planner. And that's the beginning of the drama. With the combination of professional and interest among us, we have wedding planner, hotel manager, designer, makeup artist, video & photographer, emcee and whatever people you can find in the process of a wedding.

Confusing? yea, actually I made a video for that day but I have to respect privacy of the bride therefore I am showing photos only. Frankly, I wish to make the video public so that everyone knows how was it going on because those photos are not complete and many important scene are blurred.

UPDATE: I got the permission to set the video public now :D

Apart from our outfits are not in formal and the venue doesn't looks like a hotel, everything went wonderfully and absolutely gorgeous, I can't believe it's a drama!

Makeup artist, Ivy and the day's highlight, the bride - Alison.

Our mistake, we forgot to bring hair accessories so she have to holds her fringe. But look at Ivy's makeup box, you know that she was very concerned.

The decoration team were busy on the words to stick on the whiteboard and pretending it's the stage of the ceremony. To make it sounds and looks real, we named our classroom IEC Resort.

Amirah, the photographer

Min and I were playing with her camera while she was helping the team for the words and we acted like a pro, took some artistic picture like how the camera man did in the wedding.

To save cost and love the environment, Min, the flower girl made the flower bouquet with toilet tissue and yours truly made the ring from paper. Both flower and ring tutorial can be find in Youtube.

Min and another Alison, the wedding planner.

Did I mentioned that I am a videographer?

I don't have a full HD video recorder, what I have is only a 7.1 MP digital camera and thus the quality might not be satisfied. However, editing is everything although my hand was shaking because I can't stop laughing and cheering throughout the event.

The student progress holder then transformed into a certificate book holder.

Marriage certificate. Oh yea, we have a lawyer too!

Min, yours truly, Kyra, the hairstylist, Ivy and Alison

Last check up! Make sure everything is done and ready to go. Clearing the tools and set up for the ceremony.

Proudly introducing you the groom, Joseph and the bride, Alison. The hairband was prepared by Kyra.

Cleon, the emcee was greeting the attendants.

and finally the ceremony started and Wagner - Here Comes The Bride begins, then bride walks down the aisle and accompanied by bridesmaid, Christina who wore a blue top.

>

And more attendants coming from the next class bring the atmosphere to reach a peak!

Instead of places Alison's hand in the Joseph's, Alison gave the flower bouquet to Joseph, that's really funny because she must be embarrassed at the moment.

and the girl stands behind with papers holding in her hands is minister, Claire who gave a wonderful wedding reading and vow.

Recitation of the wedding vows written and read by the couple and no doubt, they did said " I do." It feels so lovely but it is fake.

Best man, Anderson who was standing behind Joseph.

While the bride said, "He came into my life and completely change it!" and the expression of the groom!

And soon, came to one of the important part, exchange of rings. Best man and bridesmaid were acted as the ring bearer.

And the most awkward moment was the ring cannot fit into the groom's fingers because they took the wrong rings! However in the video I cut that part and the whole process seems to went smoothly.

Furthermore, we had refreshment after the ceremony, the behind table. I wonder if you realize, we actually made the setting like a real church and wanted to replace red carpet by using paper but it is unnecessary. Groom, best man and bridesmaid gave a speech while we're having our refreshment, although all of it are fake stories but sounds real.

Then the games session! Kimberly was in charge of the day's entertainment, including songs and games. There are a total of two games and it's all about the new married couple. "After finishing these two games, you can find out whether this couple really love each other." Kimberly said.

Well, I thought it will be boring but turns out freaking hilarious!

Q&A section, questions were prepared to prove that how well do they know each other, some of the answer were fake but some were true!

The next game was to recognize who is the bride or groom and what's the best part was they guessed the right person for all the time. Even for fingers! However, Alison told me that she actually saw Joseph's shoes few days later.

Last but not least, signing the marriage certificate!

Prepared by Michelle, the lawyer.

Lots of witnesses!

and my lovely classmates and teacher.

P/S: Today is the last day of the class but this post was drafted few weeks ago.

Universal Studios Singapore

Read part one at here.

Obviously, that's Universal Studios Singapore. It's probably the best place for you to make you feel like you're in the Hollywood and New York city if you never had a chance to there even though it's not a gigantic park, but there are a lot of nice attractions.

I was tired like a dog and didn't want to listen to Chris while he's explaining the next day schedule in USS. We had never stopped walking except dining or while taking the MRT from the first seconds we arrived in Singapore.

Gate was closed.

and the next day!

Chris told us to arrive on 9:20am but we were a bit late. However, the gate haven't opened yet by the time we arrived. And we're really really lucky because no one queued at the left side and we ran quickly over there and we managed to be the first on the left side gate. See the crowd after the gate opened! It was only 9:30am.

To avoid the boredom (maybe) before we're enable to enter US, Kungfu Panda and Woody Woodpecker came and greeted us.

Bumblebee!

Actually I didn't know what kind of rides are available in US and I just ran all the way to the here once we were allowed to enter the park! It was so crazy, but I love it. Our first zone is Sci-Fi City.

The ride officially opened to the public on 3 December 2011 and I went to the same month and I felt so fresh!

Along the way, you will able to recall the story through the screens in the waiting area. But, I have no time to capture everything because we don't even need to queue. HAHAHA

The vechicle!

Transformers: The rides is my top ranking for the top attractions in USS. Because it uses 3D high-definition video and audio-animatronics, therefore 3D glasses are required for the ride. I didn't watch Transformers but this ride is totally amazing! Absolutely "ride the movies!" However, it's not as vigorous as others ride in USS. You can check the review here.

 Battlestar Galactica CYLON vs HUMAN

Look at the blue and red track. For your information, it is the tallest dueling coaster in the world. I was afraid but I wanted to try. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily when I have finally made up my mind, what a pity!  :(

Then, we went to another zone, Ancient Egypt. Because we're afraid that we won't be able to play all the rides in USS, so we did not spend our time on taking picture and the result is no photos was taken in here. The other top ranking of mine, Revenge the Mummy, an indoor roller coaster which transported us to 1930’s Egypt in total darkness!

I really like thrill rides, especially roller coasters but this is my first time to experience the going backwards. My heart also skipped a beat during the sudden reverse motion. It felt like I was thrown out of the coaster. It was freaking, exhilarating and exciting! I screamed out loud. I have never tried a reverse motion in the straight drop among all the rides that I had ridden before so it was an unforgettable experience.

Then, we're in The Lost World.

>

We went to Canopy Flyer, a flying vehicle that brings us soar over Jurassic Park.

WorldWorld "Live" stage show at The Lost World

It's based on the film Waterworld starring Kevin Costner, a live water show with stunning explosions of fire and water. A lot of gunfire, explosions and all round action. Again, I didn't managed to capture any photos because we're concentrating to the show. Well, since there's no photos taken I won't go too much into the details of the plot, in case it spoils the surprise for those visiting the attraction.

However, it might not suitable for those who have heart problem because too much explosions. Also, be there early for at least 20 minutes before the show starts because it usually packed with crowds. Beware, you will get wet if you're sitting in the front rows!

and it started to rain when the show was finished!

Far Far Away, I will say that this is the nicest zone because of the castle! Girl likes fairytale!

Anyway, we're just passing by and and we missed out Shrek 4D, is that really nice? :(

Madagascar, here we go! Such a lovely place because of the street entertainment, Madagascar Boogie!

Meet the cast from the animation movie. They are adorable, aren't them?

and one of my favourtie zone - Hollywood!

Most of the building looks vintage and you know that I am a vintage/retro fashion lover.

So, I tried to pose like a model! HAHA

another favourite zone, New York.

Funny, crazy and silly hats are for sale in front of the Betty Boop merchandise store.

Just in case you have no idea who is Betty Boop :)

The only one attractions available in here is Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg. It's a movie special effect show and it is absolutely incredible. "As you stand in a boathouse by the harbor, watch how a calm day suddenly turns stormy. " You can really feel the heat!

entering the room and no cameras allowed.

Spot the theater at the most left side.

While we're waiting for Chris to bring us for lunch, we went to the last attractions of the day, it's located in Hollywood, named Monster Rock. Honestly, it was really horrible! If it wasn't one of our schedule I wouldn't visit, it's a musical show by Universal Classic Monsters. I tried so hard to blend into the show but sorry, it's not interesting at all, I almost fell asleep. Not only that, when we were queuing to go into theater, it was freaking 30 minutes without air conditional or even a fan and the worst part was it's indoor so you can imagine a hundred people squeezed at the waiting corridor.

Finally, Chris has arrived and this is our lunch!

Just kidding, not turkey leg but.....

21'inch pizza! Cheesy stick and Corn soup from Loui's NY Pizza Parlor. The pizza crust is very thin, not really like to eat pizza but taste good and the soup taste really nice, not too creamy and corn scent was so strong.

In the previous post I mentioned Chris who worked in RWS, he knows the condition of every rides, and he told us which to play first and which is last. Of course, with the perfect schedule, we managed to ride every rides in USS! Awesome or not?
